If you have messaged a business on WhatsApp and an automated assistant built by Nouveau replied, you can have everything we hold about that conversation erased. There is no form to fill in and no account to create.
How to ask
Email us from any address:
ishaan@nouveausystems.org
Include the WhatsApp phone number the conversation happened on, and the name of the business you were messaging. That is all we need — we look the record up by phone number.
If it helps, copy this:
Subject: Data deletion request
Please delete the data held about my WhatsApp number.
WhatsApp number: +971 ...
Business I messaged: ...
What gets deleted
Everything keyed to that phone number, across every table we keep:
- The full conversation history — your messages and the assistant’s replies
- Your WhatsApp profile name as we stored it
- Any session state, such as whether the chat was handed to a human
- Any appointment records and pending reminders held in our system
This is a hard delete from the live database, not a flag that hides the row.
What we cannot delete for you
- The copy in WhatsApp itself. The chat on your phone and on the business’s phone belongs to that conversation, not to us. Delete the chat on your device, and ask the business to delete theirs.
- The business’s own records. If you actually booked an appointment, that booking may also sit in the business’s booking system or patient records, which they control and may be legally required to retain. We pass those requests on to them and tell you when we have.
How long it takes
We aim to action deletion within a few working days, and within 30 days at the outside. We will email you to confirm when it is done and tell you exactly what was removed.
If you do nothing
Conversation history is deleted automatically 24 months after the message date. You do not have to ask.
